New: fabrics with a story to tell

Discover all durables fabrics, each with a unique story.

Twinwool

A high-quality woollen upholstery fabric with a sustainable character. This is because Twinwool is made with washed-up ocean plastic. Driven volunteers collect plastic waste on ocean beaches, riverbanks and in coastal communities. This is then processed into Bionic® yarn using an innovative recycling process. Combined with a high-quality wool, as we know it from Ploeg wool, this forms our sustainable furniture fabric Twinwool. This unique twine gives the fabric a beautiful two-coloured effect and a special story, one of a kind.

Akin

An airy, transparent, flame-retardant curtain fabric with the sophisticated look of batiste. Akin is room-high and made of 100% pre-consumer recycled Trevira CS, which means that residual waste from production is considered a valuable raw material for reuse and is processed into a yarn as high quality as the original product. By being resource-conscious, we try to deplete our resources less.

Basket

An unusual curtain fabric made from 100% hemp. Basket is a supple, loosely woven structure similar in appearance to linen. Because this curtain fabric is 100% natural, it is also completely biodegradable. But using hemp has many more advantages; for it is a particularly sustainable crop. Hemp requires much less water in the growing and processing process than cotton, for example, and growing hemp takes up less agricultural land than crops growing other natural fibres. Hemp grows quickly and easily, therefore needs little to no pesticides, and the plant returns much of the nutrients it extracts from the soil. In short, Basket is a beautiful fabric, with a beautiful life story.

Wood

A supple, dense curtain fabric made from Tencel™-Lyocell and Linen. Lyocell is the sustainable alternative to viscose, a yarn made from wood pulp from specially managed forests. Made using a closed-loop production process that releases no chemicals. Combined with linen, this makes a 100% natural fabric that is completely biodegradable. Wood has a subtle sheen and a soft touch because of the Lyocell content, combined with the dry linen pips visible here and there, this creates a curtain fabric with an elegant look.
