Mida, a fabric made with recycled fibers
A nice robust base fabric. The minimalist weave combined with the blended yarns lend the fabric character, allowing for versatile application. Mida incorporates yarns made from recycled PET and recycled waste from polyester and acrylic production.
What are pre- and post-consumer recycled fibers?
The manufacture of polyester and acrylic fibres and filaments inevitably generates residual waste. Yarn producers consider this residual waste as a valuable raw material. The collected fibres are processed into a yarn of the same high quality as the original product.
Post-consumer recycled fibres are made from material that has already been used once by humans. In upholstery fabric Mida, we have used recycled PET bottles, which are collected and processed into a yarn the same high quality as the original product.
