Het Arresthuis
In April 2012 the Netherlands gained a spectacular historical place to stay: the former prison of Roermond. Once a place where no one came voluntarily. Now the luxurious Van der Valk Hotel: Het Arresthuis, where you will gladly let yourself be locked up..
CRAFTSMANSHIP AND QUALITY
De Ploeg has used the sheer fabrics High and One, and the black out quality Close, in Het Arresthuis. The De Ploeg brand stands for craftsmanship and high quality curtain and upholstery fabrics. The collections in woven and printed fabrics are fully matched. Since the 1950’s De Ploeg has been well known to the Dutch people as a fabric mill and supplier of curtain and upholstery fabrics.
DISTINCTIVE ATMOSPHERE
Elements from the 1863 jail have been preserved, giving the building a very distinctive atmosphere. Naturally no guests will be subjected to the former hardships. On the contrary: you will be pampered in Het Arresthuis.
LATEST DESIGN
The 105 cells have been converted into 36 luxurious rooms and four suites. Every one of them has been fitted with the latest designs and the most luxurious gadgets such as an iPod docking station, airconditioning, free WiFi, flatscreens and automatic light control. All rooms also have the most comfortable twin beds, a rain shower, a sitting area, minibar and coffee and thee maker. The sauna and gym offer the opportunity to fully relax or exercise. No luxury will be spared during your visit to Het Arresthuis.
